Triumph Motorcycles has teased a new, exclusive variant of its flagship naked roadster,โthe Speed Triple 1200 RS. Rumoured to be adorned with the ‘RX’ tag, the new model is believed to be aโhigh-performance version and could house parts based on the half-faired Speed Triple RR. To be unveiled globally on May 13, 2025, the TriumphโSpeed Triple RX is expected to outperform other models in Triumph’s litre-class range, offering a unique experience to its owners.
Triumph Speed Triple RX: Striking New Look
In the promotional video, the Triumph Speed Triple RX motorcycle features an eye-catching neon green colour scheme with ‘RX’ logos evident on the fuel tank. The title ‘RX’ also brings back recollections of the Street Triple RX introduced almost ten years ago, indicating that Triumph is reexploring this name with a fresh emphasis on sporty performance and a bold design.

Triumph Speed Triple RX: Expected Features and Upgrades
We expect the Triumph Speed Triple RX to offer a more aggressive riding position than the standard model, allowing riders to enjoy a more committed experience. This is a step away from the standard Speed Triple, which already had good low and mid-range torque. In the RX, we anticipate better control and handling due to wider tyres, semi-active suspension, and a few other improvements.
Triumph Speed Triple RX: Powertrain and Performance
With regards to the engine, nothing has been officiallyโconfirmed; however, the RX is expected to receive significant performance upgrades. The regular Speed Triple 1200 RS has a 1,160cc inline three-cylinder engine, makingโ177.5 bhp and 125 Nm of torque, mated to a six-speed gearbox.
India Launch Uncertain
However, theโTriumph Speed Triple RX could likely not get to Indian showrooms despite the universal excitement. Triumph’s lukewarm reception of the Speed Triple RS in India,โin contrast to the overwhelming response to the Street Triple RS, could mean that the RX may still stay far away from even the import market in India. The potential pricing of the RX model, which could be higher than the RS, might also be a factor in its uncertain launch in India.
