Maruti Suzuki has introduced the 2025 Eeco with a major focus on passenger safety. The popular van now comes equipped with six airbags as standard across all variants, a significant upgrade from the dual-airbag setup offered previously. The move aligns the Eeco with newer safety standards and brings it closer to other Maruti Suzuki models that already offer enhanced occupant protection.

2025 Maruti Eeco Gets New Seating Configuration
One of the key changes in the 2025 Maruti Eeco is its revised seating arrangement. Maruti Suzuki has discontinued the earlier seven-seat version and replaced it with new six-seat variants featuring captain seats in the second row.
The introduction of captain seats is expected to improve passenger comfort, especially during longer journeys. These seats offer better individual support and easier access to the third row compared to the traditional bench-seat arrangement.
The standard five-seat versions of the Eeco will continue to be offered without any changes. This allows buyers to choose a configuration that best suits their personal or commercial requirements.

2025 Maruti Eeco Interior and Design
While the exterior design remains unchanged, Maruti Suzuki has introduced several updates inside the cabin. The overall layout continues to prioritize practicality, but the interior now feels more refined than before.
The most noticeable change is the introduction of new fabric upholstery, replacing the PVC seat material used in the previous model. This upgrade improves comfort and gives the cabin a more premium appearance.
The front seats now feature reclining functionality along with outboard supports, providing better comfort for the driver and front passenger. Additionally, new roof liners and pillar trims have been incorporated to accommodate the expanded airbag system.
Maruti has also enhanced safety and convenience in the five-seat variants by introducing luggage retention devices in the boot area. These components help prevent luggage from moving around during sudden braking or collisions, reducing the risk of injury to occupants.
Although the Eeco’s boxy exterior design remains familiar, these interior improvements contribute to a more comfortable and secure driving experience.
Safety Upgrades
The biggest highlight of the 2025 Eeco is its significantly improved safety package. Along with six airbags, the vehicle now comes with three-point seatbelts for all occupants.
Front-seat passengers benefit from seatbelt pre-tensioners and force limiters, which help reduce injury risks during an impact. Existing safety technologies such as Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD), Electronic Stability Control (ESC), and seatbelt reminders continue to be offered as standard equipment.

Powertrain
Mechanically, the 2025 Maruti Eeco remains unchanged. It continues to be powered by a 1.2-litre petrol engine producing 80 hp, paired with a five-speed manual transmission.
The engine is now fully compliant with E20 fuel norms, allowing it to run on a blend of 20 percent ethanol and 80 percent petrol in accordance with updated government regulations.
Maruti Suzuki also continues to offer a CNG-powered version of the Eeco. This variant produces 70 hp and is available exclusively in the five-seat configuration. The newly introduced six-seat variants are offered only with the petrol engine.
With improved safety, a revised seating arrangement, and enhanced interior comfort, the 2025 Maruti Suzuki Eeco strengthens its position as a practical and value-focused people mover in the Indian market.
