Dodge just revealed the 2024 Charger Daytona EV, the company’s first electric car. This is a revolutionary addition to the lineup. The Hemi V8 engine in the new Charger has been replaced by a battery-electric powerplant.

As per Tim Kuniskis, Dodge CEO, the next generation of Dodge muscle has just arrived, “The electrified 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona Scat Pack delivers Charger Hellcat Redeye levels of performance and announces its presence through the world’s first Fratzonic Chambered Exhaust,” Kuniskis explained.

The STLA Large platform developed by Stellantis serves as the foundation for the new Charger Daytona EV and will be utilized by Jeep EVs in the US market. With its massive 100.5kWh battery pack and 400V electric system, the new electric charger offers rapid torque and zero emissions from the exhaust. By the way also read BYD Seal Launched in India.

With an incredible 670 horsepower, the vehicle can accelerate from 0 to 96 km/h in just 3.3 seconds. The Charger Daytona, according to Dodge, can run a quarter-mile in 11.5 seconds, which is a new record for muscle car performance. The vehicle uses a front and rear EDM in addition to a dual-integrated charge module.

The Daytona Scat Pack, with its dual electric motor arrangement producing 670hp and a range of 418km, and the Daytona R/T, with its dual motor setup producing 496hp and a range of 510km, are the two trim levels of the all-electric coupe that will be offered. To further satisfy traditional enthusiasts, Dodge will keep offering the Charger Sixpack H.O. and Sixpack S.O., two petrol-powered variants.
