Audi Q6 e-tron

On March 2024, the Audi Q6 e-tron positioned itself as the most advanced EV in the Audi lineup in terms of technology. Though a market debut is still scheduled for August, the German automaker has already added a new entry-level variant to the portfolio, increasing the model’s attractiveness. Rear-wheel drive is now an option for the SUV’s drivetrain, and the Q6 e-tron Performance adds more kilometres to the already amazing range of the other models.

Powered by the new Premium Platform Electric (PPE) underpinnings, the Q6 e-tron has a 100 kWh battery pack based on an 800-volt architecture. The new entry-level Performance variation has the identical configuration; the main difference is that it has only rear wheel drive instead of all-wheel drive. OG! It has a single electric motor that produces 326 PS, as opposed to the dual-motor 387 PS and up to 517 PS outputs of the Quattro and SQ variants. Even yet, its stated 6.6-second 0-100 kmph time makes it fairly fast in a straight line.

Even if that performance is unremarkable by EV standards, it becomes somewhat more remarkable when you realise that it still has a 641 km WLTP claimed range. The best aspect is that it can add up to 260 kilometres of range in just 10 minutes, owing to quick charging capabilities of up to 270 kW. This figure is the highest for the entire Q6 e-tron range.

A three-screen configuration with an 11.9-inch virtual cockpit for the driver, a 14.5-inch infotainment touchscreen in the centre, and a 10.9-inch display with a Bang & Olufsen premium 20-speaker system for the passenger is anticipated for the Q6 e-tron Performance variant. In addition, it has luxurious interiors with multi-zone climate control, electrically adjustable front seats, and a heads-up display unit with augmented reality (AR) and ambient lighting.

Audi Q6 e-tron: Expected launch

Though it’s unlikely that India would receive this new single-motor version, the Audi Q6 e-tron is anticipated to arrive here sometime in 2025. Anticipate only the two-motor all-wheel-drive models, similar to the Audi Q8 e-tron.
