Rimac has unveiled the Rimac Nevera R, which it claims is the fastest-accelerating road automobile yet. The company claims it can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in 1.81 seconds and 0 to 300 kmph in 8.66 seconds.
What’s New?
Compared to the normal Nevera, which has a total output of 1,914hp, the R produces an incredible 2,017hp. This statistic is only topped by the 2,300-hp Koenigsegg Gemera hybrid. According to Rimac, the R’s handling and agility were prioritized above its grand tourer counterpart.
The Nevera R has received upgrades, including next-generation all-wheel torque-vectoring technology designed to work with the new Michelin Cup 2 tyres. The firm also claims that the steering rack has been improved to provide better reflexes and more precise feedback. This is supposed to lower maximum understeer by 10% while increasing maximum lateral grip by 5%.
A new fixed rear wing, paired with a new big front diffuser, increases maximum downforce by 15% and maximum aerodynamic efficiency by 10%, allowing for sharper, faster turning. To compensate for the greater power above the basic Nevera, the R sports carbon-ceramic EVO2 brakes. As a result of these measures, Rimac claims that the R “sets a new benchmark” for “driving excitement” on winding roads.

The R uses the same 108kWh battery as its brother, which was good for up to 400km in the basic model. The Croatian brand has yet to provide official range data.
The R, available only in Nebula green in overseas markets, will go into limited production later this year. Each will cost approximately Rs 21.4 crore before selecting customizing and personalization choices. For perspective, the regular Nevera is priced at around Rs 18.7 crore.
