Porsche has launched the new Panamera GTS in India at a starting price of ₹2.34 crore (ex-showroom). Positioned above the standard Panamera, which was introduced in India last November at ₹1.7 crore, the GTS variant brings a more powerful engine, sportier styling, and enhanced driving dynamics. As one of the most performance-focused versions of the luxury sedan, the Panamera GTS is aimed at enthusiasts seeking a combination of everyday usability and thrilling performance.
The latest Panamera GTS builds on Porsche’s long-standing GTS philosophy by offering a more engaging driving experience while maintaining the luxury and comfort expected from a premium executive sedan. With a powerful V8 engine under the hood and several chassis upgrades, the new model stands out as the most potent non-hybrid Panamera available in India.
What’s new with the Porsche Panamera GTS?
The biggest change comes under the hood. While the standard Panamera is powered by a V6 engine, the Panamera GTS receives a 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 petrol engine. This powerplant produces 500 hp, which is 20 hp more than the previous-generation Panamera GTS.
The performance figures are equally impressive. Porsche claims the luxury sports sedan can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.8 seconds before reaching a top speed of 302 km/h. These numbers place the Panamera GTS among the fastest luxury sedans available in the country.
To complement the additional power, Porsche has revised the suspension setup. The Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) system has been specifically tuned for the GTS model to deliver sharper handling and improved body control. The car sits 10 mm lower than the standard Panamera and features stiffer anti-roll bars. These modifications help improve stability through corners while maintaining ride comfort during everyday driving.
Visually, the Panamera GTS receives several unique styling elements that distinguish it from the standard version. Black GTS badges on the sides and rear, a redesigned front fascia, dark-tinted HD Matrix LED headlights, and tinted LED taillights contribute to its aggressive appearance. Red brake calipers further emphasize the model’s performance credentials.
The standard Sport Package adds satin matte-black finishes on the side skirts, front air intake inserts, side window surrounds, and rear bumper. The tailpipes feature a distinctive Dark Bronze finish, adding another sporty touch to the exterior.
The Panamera GTS rides on 21-inch Turbo S centre-lock alloy wheels finished in Anthracite Grey, giving the sedan a commanding stance and enhancing its road presence.
Inside the cabin, Porsche has focused on creating a sportier atmosphere. The interior features Race-Tex, Porsche’s suede-like material, applied to the roof lining, armrests, door panels, and seat centre sections. This material not only enhances the premium feel of the cabin but also provides improved grip during spirited driving.
Porsche also offers two exclusive GTS interior themes: Carmine Red and Slate Grey Neo. Buyers can further personalize their vehicle with an optional Carbon Matt interior package, which adds a more motorsport-inspired character to the cabin.
According to Porsche, deliveries of the Panamera GTS in international markets will begin in the coming months. Indian deliveries are expected to commence by the end of this year or potentially in early 2025.
Notably, the Panamera GTS will be the most powerful Panamera model available in India, as the hybrid-powered Turbo variants are not expected to be introduced in the market. With its powerful V8 engine, performance-focused upgrades, and distinctive styling, the new Porsche Panamera GTS offers an exciting option for luxury car buyers seeking a high-performance sports sedan.
