Jeep India has launched the updated Wrangler facelift in the country, introducing several design updates, new technology features, and enhanced safety equipment. The iconic off-roader is now priced at ₹67.65 lakh for the Unlimited variant and ₹71.65 lakh for the Rubicon variant (ex-showroom), making it around ₹5 lakh more expensive than the outgoing model.
Despite the price increase, the Wrangler continues to stand out as one of the most capable off-road SUVs available in India. Known for its rugged character and go-anywhere ability, the updated model aims to offer a more premium experience without compromising its legendary off-road credentials.
Jeep Wrangler Unlimited: Design Changes

The Wrangler Unlimited receives a few subtle but noticeable exterior updates. The most prominent change is the replacement of the body-coloured grille with a new blacked-out seven-slot grille, giving the SUV a tougher and more modern appearance.
Jeep has also introduced a new set of 18-inch alloy wheels that further enhance the vehicle’s road presence. Another significant upgrade is the addition of a Gorilla Glass windshield, which is designed to offer greater resistance against cracks and chips compared to conventional glass.
The Unlimited variant is now available in five exterior colour options. Buyers can choose from Bright White, Black, Granite Crystal, Firecracker Red, and the newly added Sarge Green shade, which gives the SUV a distinctive military-inspired look.
Jeep Wrangler Rubicon: Design Changes
Like the Unlimited, the Wrangler Rubicon also receives a blacked-out grille and updated styling elements. The off-road-focused variant now rides on new 17-inch alloy wheels designed to complement its extreme terrain capabilities.
Jeep has retained all the signature Rubicon decals, badging, and visual elements that differentiate it from the standard Wrangler. These details continue to highlight the Rubicon’s position as the more hardcore and adventure-oriented version.
Customers can choose from the same five colour options offered on the Unlimited variant, including Granite Crystal, Firecracker Red, Sarge Green, Bright White, and Black.

Jeep Wrangler: Interior Changes
Inside the cabin, the overall layout remains familiar, but Jeep has made several important upgrades. The biggest change is the introduction of a new 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen powered by the latest Uconnect 5 operating system.
To accommodate the larger display, the previously circular centre air vents have been replaced with slimmer vents positioned below the touchscreen. The updated infotainment system offers improved connectivity and user experience.
Both Unlimited and Rubicon variants now come with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard. Jeep has also added 12-way electrically adjustable front seats to improve comfort during long journeys.

Safety equipment has received a welcome boost with six airbags now offered as standard, compared to four airbags on the previous model. Other safety features include automatic headlights, tyre pressure monitoring, hill start assist, hill descent control, electronic roll mitigation, rear parking sensors, and a rear-view camera.
Even after the price hike, the Wrangler remains significantly more affordable than the Land Rover Defender 110, which is currently priced between ₹97 lakh and ₹2.35 crore in India.
Jeep Wrangler: Powertrain, Off-road Gear

Mechanically, the Wrangler remains unchanged. Both variants continue to be powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine producing 270 hp and 400 Nm of peak torque.
The engine is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission and Jeep’s Selec-Trac full-time four-wheel-drive system. Off-road geometry remains unchanged, with approach, departure, and breakover angles of 36 degrees, 31 degrees, and 20 degrees respectively, while the Rubicon offers a slightly improved 21-degree breakover angle.
The Rubicon continues to receive exclusive off-road hardware, including locking front and rear differentials, an electronically disconnecting front sway bar, a 240-amp alternator, and a dedicated Rock mode within the Selec-Trac system.
With its updated styling, improved technology, and enhanced safety package, the new Jeep Wrangler facelift continues to strengthen its position as one of India’s most capable and iconic off-road SUVs.
