Bugatti has officially completed production of the final Centodieci, bringing one of its most exclusive and ambitious projects to a close. The tenth and last example of the limited-production hypercar has rolled out of the Bugatti Atelier in Molsheim, France, marking the end of a two-year manufacturing journey.
The Centodieci is one of the rarest modern Bugattis ever created, with only ten units produced worldwide. Every example was handcrafted, reflecting the brand’s dedication to engineering excellence and exclusivity. The model was created as a tribute to the legendary EB110 supercar and celebrated Bugatti’s 110th anniversary when it was first unveiled in 2019.
Final Bugatti Centodieci Receives Unique Specification
The last Centodieci features an elegant Quartz White exterior paired with Black Carbon accents. Adding to its exclusivity are Light Blue Sport highlights on the brake calipers and the logo mounted on the rear wing.
These blue accents pay homage to the original EB110, which famously wore Bugatti Blue paintwork. The final vehicle perfectly combines modern Bugatti design language with subtle references to one of the brand’s most iconic supercars.
Inspired by the Legendary EB110
The Centodieci was designed as a modern interpretation of the EB110, a supercar launched in 1991 under the ownership of Italian entrepreneur Romano Artioli before Volkswagen acquired Bugatti in 1998.
The name “EB110” celebrated the 110th birthday of company founder Ettore Bugatti. Similarly, the Centodieci—which translates to “110” in Italian—was introduced to commemorate Bugatti’s 110th anniversary.
Several design cues from the EB110 were reimagined for the modern hypercar. These include the distinctive front grille design, the wraparound windshield, and the signature side air intakes featuring five circular openings. At the rear, stacked exhaust outlets integrated into a massive diffuser further reinforce the connection between the two vehicles.
Despite these references, Bugatti’s designers ensured that the Centodieci was not merely a retro-inspired creation. Instead, it combines heritage-inspired styling with modern aerodynamics and cutting-edge engineering.
Distinctive Design and Advanced Aerodynamics
Unlike the curvier Chiron, the Centodieci embraces a more angular and wedge-shaped profile inspired by 1990s supercars. Designers achieved this by shrinking the traditional horseshoe grille and lowering the front hood, creating a more dramatic silhouette.
Aerodynamics played a major role in the car’s development. The Centodieci features a highly sophisticated rear diffuser built around the unique stacked exhaust system. Additional aerodynamic elements include air curtains around the wheels and specially designed front channels that generate significantly more downforce than the standard Chiron.
One of the most recognizable features is the fixed rear spoiler. While inspired by the EB110, it also helps reduce weight compared to the active rear wing system found on the Chiron.
Bugatti Centodieci: Performance
Under the bodywork lies one of the most powerful engines ever fitted to a production Bugatti. The Centodieci is powered by an 8.0-litre quad-turbocharged W16 engine that produces an astonishing 1,578 horsepower.
The engine configuration perfectly reflects Bugatti’s fascination with the number four. The W16 engine consists of four banks of cylinders and utilizes four turbochargers. Cooling is managed through four prominent air outlets on the vehicle’s upper surfaces, while the exhaust exits through four tailpipes arranged in stacked pairs.
Performance figures are equally impressive. The hypercar can accelerate from 0 to 96 km/h in under 2.4 seconds, placing it among the fastest production cars ever built. Top speed is electronically limited to just under 380 km/h (236 mph).
A Rare Collector’s Masterpiece
The Bugatti Centodieci was priced at approximately $8.9 million, making it significantly more expensive than the Chiron on which it is based. Despite the extraordinary price tag, all ten units were sold before the official public reveal.
With production now complete, the Centodieci enters automotive history as one of Bugatti’s most exclusive creations. Combining breathtaking performance, cutting-edge aerodynamics, and a tribute to the iconic EB110, the Centodieci stands as a fitting celebration of Bugatti’s heritage and engineering excellence.
