Volkswagen has added a new manual gearbox option for the Virtus sedan. At first, the 1.5 TSI and 1.0 TSI models were offered, with the 1.5 TSI being the only one featuring a DSG automatic. The top-of-the-line GT Plus model of the Virtus 1.5 GT range now comes with a 6-speed manual transmission at an initial cost of INR 16.89 lakh (ex-showroom).
In an effort to compete with the Skoda Slavia and Hyundai Verna. Notably, this update increases accessibility to the GT badge, enabling enthusiasts to take advantage of the potent 150 horsepower 1.5 TSI engine.ย
With a price differential of about Rs 1.5 lakh when compared to the DSG variant, the manual version offers a compelling substitute. The manual option is also retained in the 1.0 TSI. This newcomer to the sedan market coincides with heightened competition.
VW has surprised driving enthusiasts by offering a thrilling manual option, like the Volkswagen Taigun SUV, on the Virtus GT in response to what drivers want. Furthermore, Volkswagen has updated the GT trim level of the Taigun SUV.
