Leaked photos have provided information about the MG Astor makeover. The SUV is anticipated to be released in India shortly.
With its new appearance, the upgraded MG Astor has a distinctive appearance. The SUV’s front bumper has been changed, and the diamond mesh grille is new. Reprofiled headlamps are on either side of it, and a blue stripe runs the length of the front fascia.
However, the back end of the Astor appears more recognizable. Although the internals appear fresh, the taillights’ form has not changed. The SUV boasts a rear wiper, a roof spoiler with an integrated stop lamp, and a reworked back bumper. There are new dual-tone alloy wheels on the upgraded Astor as well.
The spy photos also show us the interior of the vehicle. The Astor has a three-spoke steering wheel, twin screens, and an all-black interior. An electronic parking brake and a reworked gear lever are new additions to the center console. Oh! Also do read about the MG Comet.
We still don’t know the new Astor’s technical specifications. Having said that, there are two engine options available for the present model. These consist of a 1.5-liter normally aspirated gasoline engine producing 108 horsepower and 144 torque, mated to a CVT and 5-speed manual transmission, and a 1.3-liter turbocharged gasoline engine producing 138 horsepower and 220 torque. An automatic gearbox with six speeds is mated to it.
