The long-awaited test results are in! Tata Safari and Harrier both received a perfect 5-star rating in the GNCAP Test for adults (scoring 33.05 out of 34) and child protection (achieving 45 out of 49). This dispels doubts about their structural stability. It’s great to see a safety competition among all the rivals. Let’s hope the new Nexon undergoes testing as well.
This is certainly positive news. I had anticipated that all Tata cars would have at least a 4-star NCAP rating. However, it seems that Tata has opted not to compete in the Seltos/Creta range. It would have been beneficial to have a 5-star NCAP rating in that segment, especially when the Seltos and Creta only manage a 3-star rating.
I was wishing that Tata would step into the Seltos/Creta market, and it seems they’re planning to do just that with the upcoming Currvv SUV early next year. Let’s hope it receives a 5-star safety rating right from the start.
