Mercedes EQS 450 SUV

Mercedes-Benz India has revealed the costs of the Mercedes EQS 450 SUV, which is comparatively less expensive. This new model, priced at Rs 1.28 crore ($1,49,050 est), is Rs 13 lakh less expensive than the Rs 1.41 crore EQS 580 SUV. In contrast to the 580, the EQS 450 SUV has five seats. At the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, the entry-level EQS SUV will be displayed alongside the Mercedes G 580 Edition One.

Mercedes EQS 450 SUV: Interior and Exterior

The 450 can accommodate five people, and although the front half of the cabin is identical, there is a sizable boot behind the back bench seats. The 56-inch Hyperscreen configuration, consisting of a 17.7-inch touchscreen entertainment system, a 12.3-inch instrument cluster, and a front passenger screen, is part of the features list both versions share. Standard features include Level 2 ADAS, nine airbags, a 360-degree camera, a 15-speaker Burmester music system, a 4-zone automatic climate control system, soft-close doors, puddle lamps, and illuminated running boards.

The 450 has what Mercedes calls the Electric Art Line and 21-inch black-painted alloy wheels on the exterior. As a result, it appears less aggressive than the 580’s AMG Line trim.

While the Mercedes EQS 450 SUV 4Matic shares the 122kWh battery pack with the 580, its motors have a lesser combined output of 360hp and 800Nm, compared to 544hp and 858Nm in the 7-seater. The MIDC range of the EQS 450 SUV is 820km, which is only 11 km longer than the 580. Mercedes claims a 0-100kph time of 6.1 seconds. Therefore, the 5-seater is 1.4 seconds slower than the 7-seater EQS SUV. The German firm also claims similar charging times: 31 minutes for a 10-80 percent charge using a 200kW DC fast charger and 6.25 hours for a 0-100 percent charge using a 22kW AC wall box charger.

Mercedes says bookings for the entry-level EQS SUV have begun, and deliveries will start in February.
