BMW CE 02

The BMW CE 02 cost Rs 4.50 lakh when it was first introduced in India and is produced at TVS’s Hosur facility. It is among the priciest electric two-wheelers available right now, only surpassed by its older sibling, the CE 04, which was introduced earlier this year.

BMW CE 02: Interior and Exterior

The CE 02 from BMW has two riding modes out of the box, and the Highline package adds a third mode. These three modes are known as Flash, Surf, and Flow. These modes adjust the throttle input and regenerative braking levels, not significantly altering the riding experience.

Currently, BMW offers the CE 02 in just one color, with several baggage choices and visors as optional extras. 

BMW CE 02: Powertrain and Features

The CE 02, powered by two 1.96kWh batteries with a total capacity of 3.92kWh, can produce up to 11kW (15hp) and 55Nm of torque at maximum output. The CE 02, positioned as a 200cc substitute, weighs 142 kg and has a maximum production akin to some aggressive 160cc motorbikes. The CE 02 is ideal for city commuting and is relatively approachable for shorter riders thanks to its 745mm seat height.

According to BMW, the CE 02 can travel 108 kilometers at a top speed of 95 kph. The CE 02 now comes with the Highline pack, which adds extra amenities, including a heated grip, a tri-colored seat, a teal sticker, a gold anodized USD fork, and a smartphone holder. Riders can utilize the switchgear on the CE 02 to manage inputs and use their smartphone as an extension of the 3.5-inch TFT when paired with the BMW app.
