Daytona 660

Triumph has unveiled the all-new Daytona 660 in India for Rs 9.72 lakh. It competes with the Honda CBR 650R priced at inr 9,34,816.

The Daytona 660 is powered by a 660cc inline three-cylinder engine that is also used in the Trident 660 and Tiger Sport 660. However, it is at its peak performance in the Daytona 660, producing 95hp at 11,250rpm and 69Nm at 8,250rpm – 14hp and 5Nm more than its naked and adventure counterparts. While these figures are lower than the previous Daytona 675, Triumph boasts that the new Daytona 660 is much friendlier and more comfortable.

The Daytona’s seat height is 810mm, which is 25mm lower than its adventure equivalent and 5mm higher than its bare version. Globally, the Daytona 660 comes in three colors: Snowdonia White, Satin Granite, and Carnival Red. It also has a 14-litre fuel tank, comparable to the Trident 660.

While the Daytona 660 is less expensive globally than the Tiger Sport 660, it costs Rs 27,000 more in India and Rs 1.60 lakh more than the Trident 660. It’s also worth mentioning that the Street Triple 765 R costs only Rs 45,000 extra and generates much more power and torque while featuring higher-spec equipment.
