Mahindra Thar Roxx has officially been introduced, and the firm has revealed a few key SUV features. The price starts at ₹ 12.99 lakh, ex-showroom. However, the pricing of the top-spec trim in the 4×4 version remains unknown. The domestic SUV manufacturer has confirmed that it will only be unveiled closer to delivery. The business will also provide test drives of the 2024 Mahindra Thar Roxx beginning September 14, with bookings starting October 3.
Mahindra Thar Roxx: Dimensions
The Mahindra Thar Roxx is 4,428 mm long, 1,870 mm wide, and 1,923 mm tall. The wheelbase is 2,850 mm long, with a front and rear wheel track of 1,580 mm. The Thar has a 57L gasoline tank and 447L of boot capacity. The approach, break-over, and departure angles are 41.7 degrees, 36.1 degrees, and 23.9 degrees, respectively. It also has a 650 mm water-wading depth.
Mahindra Thar Roxx: Powertrain
The Roxx is offered with two engines: the 2.0L mStallion turbo-petrol and the 2.2L mHawk turbo-diesel. These are available with two gearbox options: 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic. There are also many tuning states available for these engine options. With the manual transmission, the turbo-petrol produces a peak power output of 162 hp and 330 Nm of torque. With an automatic, however, the top outputs increase to 177 hp and 380 Nm. Moving on to the oil burner, it produces 152 hp and 330 Nm with the stick shift, while the automatic transmission increases these figures to 175 hp and 370 Nm.
Mahindra Thar Roxx: Features
In terms of features, the Thar Roxx includes a 60:40 rear split, a 10.25-inch instrument cluster, a 10.25-inch infotainment unit, powered seats, two sunroof options, connected car technology, Level-2 ADAS, acoustic glasses, a 9-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, a 360-degree parking camera, and more. It has off-road features, including crawl control, intelligent turn help, and adjustable terrain control modes.
