Suzuki’s quirky and compact Hustler micro SUV has been spotted testing in India, generating excitement among automotive enthusiasts. The vehicle, which is one of Suzuki’s most popular Kei cars in Japan, was reportedly seen undergoing hot-weather testing near New Delhi. While there is no official confirmation regarding an India launch, the sighting has sparked speculation about Suzuki’s future plans for the Indian market.
Originally introduced in 2014, the Suzuki Hustler has built a strong reputation in Japan for its unique design, compact dimensions, and practical urban-friendly nature. The model combines the rugged styling cues of an SUV with the convenience and efficiency of a small city car, making it a popular choice among urban buyers.
The Hustler belongs to Japan’s highly popular Kei car category, a segment known for compact vehicles designed to maximize efficiency while complying with strict size regulations. The micro SUV measures approximately 3.3 metres in length and rides on a 2.4-metre wheelbase.
These dimensions make it comparable in size to entry-level hatchbacks such as the Maruti Alto while also placing it close to compact electric vehicles like the MG Comet. Despite its small footprint, the Hustler is designed to offer a spacious cabin thanks to its tall-boy architecture.
