Kia has officially unveiled the EV3, a compact electric SUV that aims to bring the brand’s latest EV technology to a wider audience. Positioned below the flagship EV9, the new EV3 combines futuristic styling, a feature-rich cabin, and impressive driving range figures. The SUV will be offered in two trims – Standard and GT-Line – along with nine exterior colour options, including exclusive shades designed specifically for the model.
Built on Kia’s dedicated Electric Global Modular Platform (E-GMP), the EV3 is expected to deliver class-leading passenger space, practicality, and electric driving performance. Its design language closely follows that of the larger EV9, giving it a bold and modern appearance that stands out in the growing electric SUV segment.
Kia EV3: Exterior

The Kia EV3 adopts the brand’s latest electric vehicle design philosophy. At the front, the SUV features a blanked-off grille, which is a signature element of modern EVs. It is complemented by L-shaped LED daytime running lights that blend seamlessly into the fascia inspired by Kia’s iconic Tiger Nose design. Cubical-shaped LED headlamps and wide air inlets on the lower bumper further enhance the SUV’s futuristic appearance.
From the side, the EV3 displays a clean and modern profile with blacked-out pillars, squared-off wheel arches, and flush-fitting front door handles. The rear door handles are cleverly integrated into the C-pillar, contributing to the SUV’s sleek design.
At the rear, the EV3 features a large black-clad bumper, a roof-mounted spoiler, a shark-fin antenna, and L-shaped LED taillamps that extend toward both ends of the vehicle. Other exterior highlights include a panoramic sunroof and a reverse parking camera with sensors. Buyers will have a choice of nine exterior colours, including exclusive Terracotta and Aventurine Green shades.
Kia EV3: Interior

The cabin of the EV3 has been designed to maximize comfort, technology, and practicality. Drawing inspiration from the larger Kia EV6 and other premium electric models in the brand’s lineup, the dashboard features a modern layout with twin 12.3-inch displays serving as the infotainment system and digital instrument cluster. These screens provide access to vehicle information, navigation, connectivity features, and entertainment functions.
Other premium features include dual-zone climate control, ambient lighting, an auto-dimming inside rear-view mirror (IRVM), and a 360-degree surround-view camera system. Like the Kia EV6, the EV3 also comes equipped with an Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) suite, enhancing safety and convenience during daily driving.
The SUV offers a floating centre console with multiple storage areas, helping improve cabin practicality. In terms of cargo capacity, the EV3 provides a 460-litre rear boot along with a 25-litre front storage compartment, commonly referred to as a frunk. Buyers interested in Kia’s electric vehicle range can also explore the Kia EV6, which remains one of the brand’s flagship EV offerings in several markets.
Kia EV3: Performance

The Kia EV3 measures 4,300 mm in length, 1,850 mm in width, and 1,560 mm in height, while the wheelbase stands at 2,680 mm. These dimensions allow the SUV to offer a spacious cabin despite its compact footprint.
Built on Kia’s E-GMP architecture, the front-wheel-drive electric SUV is available with two battery pack options. The larger 81.4 kWh battery delivers a maximum WLTP-certified driving range of up to 600 kilometres on a single charge, making it one of the most efficient vehicles in its category. Kia also offers a smaller 58.3 kWh battery pack for customers seeking a more affordable option.
Charging performance is another strong point. Kia claims that the battery can be charged from 10% to 80% in just 31 minutes under suitable fast-charging conditions.
In terms of performance, the EV3 produces 283 Nm of peak torque and can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in approximately 7.5 seconds. With its combination of long driving range, advanced technology, practical cabin, and EV9-inspired styling, the Kia EV3 is expected to become an important addition to Kia’s growing global electric vehicle lineup.
