Hyundai has provided a sneak peek into the upcoming Creta facelift set to launch on January 16, showcasing distinctive exterior and interior features tailored for the Indian market. The facelift introduces significant cosmetic enhancements, an array of advanced technologies, and heralds the comeback of the turbo-petrol engine.
Prospective buyers can now book the new Hyundai Creta by making a token payment of Rs 25,000. Notably, individuals who have previously booked the outgoing model have the option to convert their bookings to the eagerly anticipated facelifted version.
The official debut and launch are highly anticipated, promising a refreshed and technologically enhanced driving experience for Hyundai enthusiasts in India.
External Improvements
The external improvements appear to be as thorough as facelifts can go. It gets a completely new face with a redesigned grille, headlamp, and bumper assembly that makes it appear more boxy and upright.
The primary LED headlamp cluster is now rectangular and positioned vertically on the bumper, and there’s a full-width LED light strip that terminates with inverted L-shaped elements at the edges.
Along with the lower part of the bumper, the grille has also been redesigned to be rectangular with three horizontal slats, giving it a much more blocky appearance than it did previously.
A redesigned number plate housing, a chunkier bumper, full-width LED taillamps that resemble the front-end design, and a completely new tailgate are all seen on the back.
Although the side profile is not visible in these photos, we anticipate it to mostly stay the same except for a new set of alloy wheels.
Interior Changes
Inside, the renovations are far more extensive. The twin 10.25-inch linked screens on the dashboard are a brand-new design, most likely taken from the Kia Seltos.
The AC vent on the passenger side is now integrated within a gloss black horizontal band on the dashboard, and the dashboard gracefully curves around the screens.
The center console now has a single row of physical buttons, a touch panel-like device for the HVAC controls, and new central air conditioning vents.
It isn’t, however, the switchable panel that the Verna has with physical dials that rotate. In terms of features, the 360-degree camera, dual-zone climate control, and ADAS suite are the main talking points. There are also more storage places.
The 1.5-liter, 115-hp petrol and diesel engines under the hood of the Creta facelift will remain available, with a manual gearbox as standard and a CVT and torque converter gears as options.ย
The now-discontinued 1.4-liter turbo-petrol is replaced with a new 1.5-liter engine with 160 horsepower. It is expected to be available with a manual or DCT gearbox.
Seven trim levels (E, EX, S, S(O), SX, SX Tech, and SX(O)); six monochromatic color options (Fiery Red, Ranger Khaki, Abyss Black, Atlas White, and Titan Grey); and one dual chromatic color option (Atlas White with Black Roof) will be available for the Hyundai Creta.
The new Creta’s competitors in the midsize SUV market will include the Volkswagen Taigun, Maruti Grand Vitara, Honda Elevate, and Kia Seltos.
