Tata Motors is set to reveal its latest electric vehicle (EV), the Tata Punch EV, later this month. Despite the official release date still under wraps, it will pose a strong challenge to the Citroen eC3 as a cost-effective fully electric SUV.
While specific details about the Tata Punch EV’s features are yet to be disclosed, it expects a larger battery pack than its predecessors, offering an ARAI-certified range of around 350km and fast-charging capabilities. This is expected to have a significant impact on the electric vehicle market.
The Tata Punch EV is likely to surpass its internal combustion engine (ICE) counterpart with added features like LED headlights, all-wheel disc brakes, an upgraded touchscreen infotainment system with the Arcade.ev app suite, and a unique illuminated two-spoke steering wheel. These enhancements reflect the EV’s higher price point.
