Lexus, on April 23, 2025, officially premiered the all-new 2026 ES at the Shanghai Auto Show. A generational model characterized by bold styling and advanced technology, and introducing an electric battery variant symbolizes a significant leap for the ES lineup as Lexus intensifies its electrification thrust while refining the luxury sedan formula.
2026 Lexus ES: Interior and Features
Lexus gives a little twist to the interior design with a new 14-inch display, fewer physical controls, and features uncommon in any other vehicle: the so-called World’s First Responsive Hidden Switches. The Sensory Concierge system will tune the lights, fragrance, and climate based on preferences set by the persons onboard. Rear-seat comfort has been enhanced, and the package comes complete with the latest Lexus Safety System+, which includes improved ADAS features.

2026 Lexus ES: Design
The new sedan has transformed as per the updated TNGA GA-K platform with a longer 2,950mm wheelbase and an overall length of 5,140mm to allow for larger interior accommodation. Borrowings from the LF-ZC concept include a virtually grille-less facade, T-headed LED lighting, a full-width rear light bar, and new wheel options that measure up to 21 inches. Low-slung in profile, the car possesses dynamic and elegant proportions.
Engine Options and Variants
The new ES includes several powertrain options: a 2.0-litre petrol, a 2.5-litre hybrid, and an electric version. The hybrid power outputs are rated at 201hp, while the electric ES 350e gives about 343hp with a 0-100 km/h sprint of 5.9 seconds. The EV also comes with a fast-charging port and claims a range of 685 km on a full charge.
