VW Tiguan R Line
Volkswagen has announced bookings for the Tiguan R Line via its website and dealership network in India. Considering the launch on April 14 in Completely Built Unit (CBU) format, this performance SUV packs a punch in terms of engine, features, and attractive color specifications.
VW Tiguan R Line: Design
The Tiguan R Line accentuates a sportier, more aggressive persona compared to the regular model. The R Line-specific front grille, sharper bumper designs, and larger alloy wheels give added road presence. Sleek LED headlamps, tail lamps, and subtle R Line badging contribute to making it stand apart from the regular Tiguan.
VW: Engine and Performance
In India, the Tiguan R Line is powered by a 2.0-litre, inline, four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine producing 204 hp of maximum power and 320 Nm of maximum torque. The engine is mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission that sends power to all four wheels through Volkswagenโs 4Motion all-wheel-drive system. The company claims this SUV can do the 0-100 km/h sprint in 7.1 seconds and achieve a top speed of 229 km/h.
