EX30 Cross Country Electric Off-Roader

Volvo has introduced the EX30 Cross Country, an off-road variant of the base EX30 electric SUV. For the first time, an SUV and an EV are sporting Volvo’s Cross Country emblem, previously only found on hatchbacks, sedans, and estate cars. With a 19mm suspension lift, a formidable blacked-out grille, roof racks, black fenders, and large skid plates on the front and rear bumpers, the EX30 Cross Country is a standout vehicle. In addition to the usual 18-inch alloy wheels with 720mm all-terrain tires, it may also be equipped with 19-inch wheels and road tires. A stable towbar, a roof tent, mudflaps, and a kayak holder installed on the roof are extra choices.

With a full-width soundbar, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a 12.3-inch Google-based touchscreen entertainment system, the EX30 Cross Country’s interior is identical to the base model’s. A dual-motor, all-wheel-drive system with 422 horsepower and 543 Nm and a 69kWh battery with a range of up to 427 km (WLTP) powers the SUV. With a softer five-link rear suspension than the conventional EX30, the Cross Country is better suited for “weekend explorers” than serious off-roading because it can manage more challenging terrain, muddy tracks, and light snow.
