The updated 2 Series Gran Coupé model will make its India debut on 10 May 2025. As a revised offering, book pricing is estimated to be above ₹46 lakh (ex-showroom). The sportier exterior and new and improved interior should get a new 1.5-litre three-cylinder mild-hybrid petrol engine. The engine produces 170 hp and delivers 280 Nm of torque.

Audi Q6 e-tron

Audi plans to unleash the Q6 e-tron in India around May 2025. Targeting premium electric SUVs, the Q6 e-tron may command an asking price of around ₹1 crore. The 94.9 kWh battery in the car promises a possible range of up to 625 km and will be constructed on Audi’s new PPE platform. The SQ6 performance model would use dual electric motors delivering up to 510 bhp, thus becoming Audi’s first exclusively developed electric vehicle based on this new architecture.

Tata Harrier EV

Tata Harrier EV

The new Tata Harrier EV is expected to be launched on May 21, 2025. The electric SUV was first showcased at the 2023 Auto Expo and will be built on the Acti.ev platform. Dual motors, an all-wheel-drive setup, and a range exceeding 500 km are some of its most impressive features. The Harrier EV is positioned in the space above that of the Nexon EV. It’ll be pitted against the Mahindra XUV.e8 and other upcoming competitors in the bracket of ₹30 to 35 lakh.

Tata Altroz Facelift

Tata Altroz Facelift

Tata is preparing a makeover for its Altroz, and the facelift is set to launch on May 21. Improvements made to the Altroz this time around include exterior cosmetic revisions like revised bumpers and a set of new alloy wheels. Inside, it is expected to gain features like a bigger touchscreen. Engine options are likely unchanged. Therefore, it will continue fighting against competitors like the Hyundai i20, Maruti Suzuki Baleno, and Toyota Glanza in the premium hatchback segment.

Volkswagen Golf GTI

Volkswagen Golf GTI: Upcoming car

Volkswagen is all set to launch the Golf GTI in India as a fully imported car under the special category of 2,500-unit homologation rule. The hot hatch is expected to be launched by May end and will have a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine that is capable of 240 hp and above. Since the estimated price tag is around ₹45 lakh, the car will therefore target a niche performance audience. There are no direct rivals to the car in that price segment, but in terms of character and drivability, it can be compared to the Mini Cooper S and the Hyundai i20 N Line.
