Skoda Enyaq RS and Enyaq Coupe RS

Five months after unveiling the updated Enyaq and Enyaq Coupe, Skoda has now introduced the high-performance RS versions of both models. The upgraded styling, a more powerful drivetrain, and an extended range are all features of these sportier variants, which are facilitated by a larger battery cell.

Skoda Enyaq RS and Enyaq Coupe RS: Design

The RS versions of the Enyaq and Enyaq Coupe look better than the regular cars in several ways. Skoda has added many blacked-out parts, such as the RS and Skoda logos, window surrounds, mirrors, and winglets on the new front bumper. Both models come with 20-inch metal wheels as standard, but you can choose bigger 21-inch wheels if you want to. A new paint choice called Mamba Green makes the RS models look even more sporty.

The new shape is more aggressive but has a negligible effect on how well it moves air. The Enyaq RS’s drag coefficient is 0.251, and the Coupe RS’s is 0.239. Both are a bit higher than their regular forms.

Inside the cabin, buyers can pick from two different styles of decor. The RS Lounge has suede-like Suedia microfiber and fake leather upholstery. For an edgier look, lime green stitching and piping make the upholstery stand out. A more sophisticated look is achieved in the RS Suite, which has grey stitching and leather.

RS-badged sports seats with built-in headrests come standard on both RS types. There is also a massage function built into the driver’s seat. The performance-focused interior finishes include an RS steering wheel with three spokes. It has the same equipment as the regular Enyaq models, so the RS versions are the same.

Powertrain and Performance

The most significant change under the skin is the new 84kWh battery pack, which replaces the 63kWh and 82kWh packs in the base models. The WLTP test allows the Enyaq RS to travel up to 562 kilometers, and the Enyaq Coupe RS can travel a little farther, up to 568 kilometers.

Also, charging has been improved. This battery can be charged fast at up to 185kW DC, which can charge it from 10% to 80% in just 26 minutes. With an 11kW AC charger, it takes about 8 hours to fully charge from empty.

Both RS models have two electric motors that work together to produce 340 horsepower and send power to all four wheels. This is said to make them 5.4 seconds faster from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour, which is 1.3 seconds faster than their regular all-wheel-drive forms.
