The Lamborghini Temerario officially launched in India nine months after its debut at the Monterey Car Week. The price of the Temerario starts at Rs 6 crore (ex-showroom, before options) or approximately $725,000. It replaces the Huracan in Lamborghini’s portfolio and is said to bring with it a radical new powertrain and design philosophy for the ‘junior supercar’ genre.
Lamborghini Temerario: Design
The body is mounted on an all-aluminium space frame platform with improved torsional rigidity by 20 percent and has a dry weight of 1,715 kilograms (3,782 pounds). With the lightweight Alleggerita package, the weight of the car could come down to 1,690 kilograms (3,725 pounds), thanks to the use of composite materials for a carbon fibre wing, lighter wheels, and a unique bumper design.
From the outside, it remains very much a Lamborghini with hints from the Huracan, the Gallardo, and the design language of the newer Revuelto. The car rolls on staggered 20-inch front and 21-inch rear wheels, which could come in either forged or carbon fibre options. Lamborghini claims that this new design is 103 percent more aero-efficient than the Huracan Evo and becomes 158 percent more efficient when the Alleggerita package is fitted.
Lamborghini Temerario: Interior and Features
It seems that the Temerario’s interiors have the same design language as that of the Revuelto, with a fighter jet-oriented cabin and bold hexagonal themes. The layout is fitted with a 12.3-inch digital driver’s display, an 8.4-inch central touchscreen, and a 9.1-inch slim passenger display.
There is comfort in mind, with Lamborghini claiming that a 6-foot-5 driver can wear a helmet without any hassle. Other features include 18-way power-adjustable ventilated and heated seats, onboard telemetry, a dashcam, and augmented-reality navigation. There is also more luggage space than the outgoing Huracan.
Powertrain
The Lamborghini Temerario gets a plug-in hybrid powertrain underneath the hood. A never-seen-before 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine produces 800 hp and 730 Nm of torque, with a staggering rev range of 10,000 rpm. Lamborghini claims it to be the most powerful and highest-revving V8 to spin in a production car.

Complementing the V8 are three electric motors. One 150 horsepower unit is mounted within the 8-speed dual-clutch transmission, while two additional 82 horsepower motors are positioned on the front axle. A 3.8 kWh battery supports this hybrid system, enabling a combined output of 920 horsepower and 800 Nm of torque. The result is a blistering 0 to 100 km/h time of 2.7 seconds and a top speed of over 340 km/h. Charging options include an onboard AC port, regenerative braking, and direct input from the V8 engine.
Competitors in India
The Lamborghini Temerario has its contemporaries in the Indian market in the form of the Ferrari 296 GTB with a price tag of Rs 5.4 crore (approximately $650,000) and the McLaren Artura costing Rs 5.1 crore (approximately $615,000). Though costlier than the two, Lamborghini banks on its edgy design, mind-blowing hybrid driving performance, and further comforts to grab a fair chunk of the supercar-savvy Indian customer base.
