
Honda’s first electric bike, the EVO, was released in China, marking the company’s official entry into the electric motorbike market. The Wuyang Honda name is used to sell this new model, which was made in collaboration with a local company called Wuyang. The EVO is Honda’s first big step into electric two-wheelers. It looks like a cafรฉ racer and has a lot of great features.
Honda EVO: Two Battery Variants with Practical Range Options
There are two different battery configurations for the Honda EVO, which give it different amounts of performance. The first model has a battery pack that holds 4.1 kilowatt hours. Based on WMTC guidelines, it is said to have a range of 120 kilometers. This one weighs 143 kilograms and takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes to charge at home fully. If you use a regular car charger, it only takes one hour to charge.

The second model has a bigger battery pack that holds 6.2 kilowatt hours. It has a kerb weight of 156 kilograms and a longer ride range of 170 kilometers. This one takes two hours and thirty minutes to charge at home and one hour and thirty minutes to charge in the car. It has the same electric motor, which can put out a maximum of 15.3 kilowatts of power.
Honda EVO:ย Built for Style and Stability
The EVO stands out in terms of gear because of the way its wheels are set up. The front wheel is 16 inches, and the back wheel is 14 inches. Both have semi-slick tires on them. Dual-channel ABS is built into the brake system to make it safer and easier to handle. The frame of the bike is made of cast aluminum, which makes it strong but light.
Loaded with Features and Tech
The EVO has a lot of useful tools that Honda has added. People who ride can choose between three styles: Eco, Normal, and Sport. The bike also has two 7-inch TFT TVs. The first one shows normal ride data, and the second one takes care of smart features like music, directions, and keeping track of battery life and tire pressure.
The two versions have a few different traits. The 4.1-kilowatt-hour model has a camera on the front dashboard, and the 6.2-kilowatt-hour model has a camera on the back dashboard as well. On the EVO, you can choose between black and white as stock colors.
Price and Availability
The Honda EVO is only sold in China right now. The version with 4.1 kilowatt-hours of power costs 30,000 Chinese Yuan, which is about 3.56 lakh rupees or USD 4,150. The bigger model with 6.2 kilowatt-hours of power costs 37,000 Chinese Yuan, which is about 4.39 lakh rupees or USD 5,100.
Honda does not have any clear plans to bring the EVO to the Indian market at this time. But this launch makes it clear that Honda is putting more and more effort into electric transportation, and it shows what we can expect from the company in the future.
