The new Duster is out. Renault announced the prices today.
The SUV starts at ₹10.49 lakh (ex-showroom). There are five trims — Authentic, Evolution, Techno, Techno Plus, and Iconic.
Renault also shared some booking data. Around 91% of pre-orders were for the turbo-petrol versions. Diesel clearly isn’t the focus anymore. A hybrid version will arrive later this year, but the first batch is already sold out.
Renault Duster 2026: Exterior
It still looks like a Duster, and that’s a good thing.
The SUV keeps its boxy shape and thick cladding around the wheel arches. Ground clearance is 212 mm, so rough roads shouldn’t be an issue.
The lighting has been updated with LEDs at the front. The grille now has “Duster” written across it instead of the Renault badge. At the back, the tail lamps are connected by a light bar.
Renault Duster 2026: Interior
The biggest updates can be seen inside the cabin.
The old Duster was quite basic inside. This one feels more modern. You now get two screens — one for the instrument cluster and one for the infotainment system.
The feature list includes ventilated front seats, powered adjustment, a panoramic sunroof, a 360-degree camera, and an electronic parking brake. Renault has also added Level 2 ADAS, which brings features like automatic emergency braking and adaptive cruise control.
Renault Duster 2026: Engines
For now, the Duster comes with two petrol engines.
The first is a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol producing 99 BHP and 160 Nm, paired with a 6-speed manual.
The second is a 1.3-litre turbo-petrol producing 161 BHP and 280 Nm. It can be paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic.
A hybrid version will arrive later. It combines a 1.8-litre petrol engine with an electric motor, producing around 158 BHP.

Final Word
The Duster is back, and the pricing looks competitive. The interior is far more modern than before, and the feature list is stronger.
The booking numbers already show what buyers want — the bigger turbo-petrol engines. The interest in the hybrid also shows people are watching fuel costs closely.
Now it comes down to how it drives. Reviews should answer that soon.
