At the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este 2025, BMW officially showed off the new M2 CS. In the style of cars with the CS name, this is a more powerful and focused M2 Coupe. It might also be the last M2 with a pure combustion engine, which would be the end of an era for BMW’s small performance car.
BMW M2 CS: Exterior
The normal M2 model doesn’t look as mean as the M2 CS. The front end has a slightly different grille and more air holes in the bumper to make it cooler. It has unique lightweight metal wheels finished in gold on the side.
The CS has a big ducktail spoiler on the back that makes it stand out and makes it more stable at high speeds. Also, the rear diffuser stands out more. BMW gives the M2 CS a choice of four colors: Black Sapphire, Portimao Blue, Brooklyn Grey, and Velvet Blue.
BMW M2 CS: Interior
From the inside, the M2 CS feels both sporty and high-end. It comes with carbon bucket seats that are dressed in M performance colors. The seats and door sills also have special CS logos on them. You can also get a M steering wheel wrapped in Alcantara.

The BMW M5 is designed to be driven on tracks, but it has a heated steering wheel, three-zone climate control, a head-up display, and a Harman Kardon sound system. It’s comfortable and works well enough that you can use it every day.
BMW M2 CS: Engine and Performance
The 3.00-liter, six-cylinder, twin-turbo M2 CS engine is the same as the regular M2. It does, however, now make 530 horsepower and 650 Newton-meters of torque. The regular M2 has 50 horsepower and 100 Newton meters less power than this.
The engine can only be paired with an automatic transmission with eight speeds. The standard M2’s manual transmission can’t handle the extra torque, and BMW says there isn’t enough demand for a manual gearbox to make it worth adding. Because of this, the M2 CS is said to be able to go from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.8 seconds.
Weight and Handling
The M2 CS is not only stronger, but it’s also lighter. The curb weight is about 1700 kg, which is about 30 kg less than the normal M2. Lightweight parts, like a carbon fiber roof and trunk lid, are what make the difference.
BMW has also made changes to the balance and suspension package. The engine mounts are stronger, the springs and dampers have been tuned differently, and the steering and differential systems have been changed. The suspension adds eight millimeters less height. You can get an extra titanium M Performance exhaust system that makes the engine sound more aggressive.
Expected Price
The official price for the new M2 CS has not been announced by BMW yet, but it is likely to start at around 110,000 euros. That’s about 98 lakh Indian rupees, which is about 119,000 USD. BMW hasn’t said for sure if the M2 CS will come to India, but because of how important it is, a limited run could happen.
