2025 Kawasaki Ninja 650

Kawasaki has launched the 2025 Ninja 650 in India. The mid-sized sport touring motorcycle is now priced at ₹7.27 lakh (ex-showroom), which is close to USD 8,700. This is a minor hike of ₹11,000 (approximately USD 130) over the old model. The most prominent change in the new version is the introduction of a new Lime Green color option.

While the new color remains unchanged for the year 2025, the livery has undergone some changes. The result is an even sharper look with a predominantly green body mixed with white, yellow, and black streaks. This visual upgrade is aimed at imparting an even more aggressive presence on the road. Meanwhile, some Kawasaki dealerships still have stocks of the outgoing model, which is being offered with a discount of ₹25,000, thus lowering its price to ₹6.91 lakh (ex-showroom).

The motorcycle hasn’t changed under the skin. It still uses a 649cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine churning out 67bhp at 8,000rpm and 64Nm torque at 6,700rpm, mated to a six-speed gearbox.

The bike is built on a steel trellis frame, weighs 196 kg (Kerb), and runs on 17-inch alloy wheels. Its suspension offers 41mm telescopic forks at the front and a preload-adjustable mono-shock at the rear. The stopping power is credited to dual 300mm discs in front and a 220mm disc in the rear.

Rivals

Most in the Kawasaki Ninja 650’s crosshairs would be the Triumph Daytona 660, which at ₹9.72 lakh (ex-showroom) is far pricier than the Kawasaki. Hence, the latter becomes the better-priced offering in this segment.
