May 22 marks the official launch of the new AMG S 63 4Matic+ E Performance in India by Mercedes-Benz. With the addition of an electric motor and battery pack, the high-performance S-Class flagship, the S 63, is now the most powerful S-Class ever. It is a V8-powered saloon car.
Performance: Powertrain of the Mercedes-AMG S 63 E
The strongest S-Class to date is the AMG S 63 E Performance. The GLS’s 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 petrol engine powers the vehicle as well. But when paired with a genuine plug-in hybrid powertrain, the output rises to 813 PS and 1430 Nm. With the 4Matic+ all-wheel drive technology, you can accelerate from 0 to 100 miles per hour in 3.3 seconds.
It has a nine-speed, multi-clutch transmission, and a two-speed gearbox for the electric motor. Additionally, the high-end car can travel up to 33 kilometers entirely on electricity with a 13.1kWh battery pack.
Furthermore, it is said that the battery and motor locations enhance handling and weight distribution. Electric, Comfort, Battery Hold, Sport, Sport+, Slippery, and Individual are among the seven driving modes available.
The interior and design of the Mercedes-AMG S63 E Performance
Simply by virtue of its appearance, the S 63 doesn’t resemble a typical S-Class and shouts AMG. AMG-spec grille, bigger air intakes in the front bumper, 21-inch AMG alloy wheels, and AMG quad-exhaust tips are all part of the S 63 E Performance’s distinctive look. Features like ambient lighting, a 12.8-inch MBUX infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 12.3-inch digital driver display, and four-zone temperature control, the interior lives up to the S name. AMG-specific features like a sportier steering wheel and AMG-specific menus and visuals will be added to the interior layout, which will stay the same.
