Mahindra electric car

In the past, we thought of electric vehicles as futuristic and nearly unimaginable, but these days, electric vehicles are becoming very common in the automobile world. Zero-emission vehicles are becoming more popular as more choices are available in various market segments. Electric cars are environmentally friendly, in addition to being quiet, affordable, and efficient.

Many well-known automakers have hopped on the bandwagon with the increase in demand for electrified cars (EVs). Mahindra Electric Car is not far behind Tata Motors in terms of popularizing electric vehicles, despite having two robust EV models of its own. Let’s look at India’s top Mahindra electric cars for 2024.

Mahindra e-Verito

Mahindra’s first-ever electric sedan hasn’t sold as well as its other vehicles, despite the company’s other vehicles seeing tremendous success. Mahindra EV cars have a three-door electric vehicle known as the e-Verito, is derived from the original Verito, which itself was derived from the Mahindra-sold Dacia Logan.

Even while the Tata Tigor EV continues to outsell the e-Verito, the latter has a better ride and a more roomy cabin. It is driven by a 72V 3-phase electric motor with a peak torque of 91 Nm and a maximum power output of 40 horsepower. Even the now-discontinued Mahindra e20 Plus had the same configuration available. An electronic CVT is in charge of the transmission tasks. The Mahindra electric car boasts a maximum range and a top speed of 86 km/h.

Mahindra XUV400 EV

In 2024, the Tata Tigor EV surpassed the Mahindra e-Verito in terms of performance and features. The XUV400 EV has a slight edge in features and an engine stronger than the Tata Nexon. It had a more spacious cabin and was built on the XUV300. Overall, the Tata Tigor EV was the best Mahindra EV car in 2024.

39.4 kWh and 34.5 kWh lithium-ion are the two battery options that an electric SUV comes with. It has a maximum power of 147.5 horsepower and a maximum torque of 310 Nm. It can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 8.3 seconds and can reach a maximum speed of 150 km/h.

Ex-showroom Price (Delhi): ₹15.99 lakh–18.99 lakh

There are two simple models on the list of the greatest Mahindra electric cars in India. Remember that the Indian automaker had a monopoly on the E20 electric hatchback and the eVerito after that? But the competition quickly caught up, surpassing the automaker’s EV products in sales.

However, compared to the Tata Nexon EV, the XUV400 EV is a better option and a breath of fresh air. Mahindra EV wants to add at least three more new electric vehicles to its lineup, as it is not a brand that sits back and takes its successes. Future Mahindra electric vehicles will feature a larger model that will be released in the next years, as well as high-end SUVs built on the Mahindra XUV700 platform. As one of the top producers of SUVs and MPVs, Mahindra has earned the trust of thousands of Indian drivers, and the company’s positive brand image will undoubtedly help the electric vehicle lineup.
