Land Rover Defender Octa
The Land Rover Defender Octa has finally entered India. It is the most powerful and capable off-roader Defender so far, and prices start from Rs 2.59 crore. The limited edition Edition One variant, which will be available for one year, is priced at Rs 2.79 crore.
Land Rover Defender Octa: Design
The Octa, based on the 110 body style, is characterised by aggressive styling, with flared arches, a larger grille, and a modified bumper. It rides 22-inch wheels, with the Edition One providing 20-inch off-road wheels. The colour palette comprises Carpathian Grey, Charente Grey, Faroe Green, and Petra Copper, with an optional matte protective film.

The Octa has an 11.4-inch infotainment touchscreen, Burnt Sienna leather upholstery, and a mini refrigerator. It retains the Defender’s ruggedness and premium feel, but it has enhancements that set it apart.
Seats with Vibration Tech
Land Rover has introduced Body and Soul Seat technology, wherein the seats vibrate along with the beat of the music. These seats also feature a three-dimensional knit texture, integrated headrests, and enhanced bolstering.
Land Rover Defender Octa: Engine & Performance
Under the hood, it has a 4.4-litre BMW-sourced twin-turbo V8 that throws out 635hp and 750Nm (800Nm in off-road launch mode). Paired with an 8-speed automatic, the missile accelerates to 0-100kph in 3.8 seconds and 250kph, while the Edition One has a limit of 160kph.
Off-Road Capability
With its new 6D Dynamics suspension, the Octa eliminates the need for an actual anti-roll bar to manipulate wheel articulation and body control. It provides 319mm ground clearance, better approach and departure angles, and 1,000mm wading depth.
