Hyundai Motor India Limited has given a sporty makeover to its i20 N Line, injecting fresh excitement into this hatchback. The pricing for the revamped i20 N Line starts at โ‚น9.99 lakh for the manual version and goes up to โ‚น12.32 lakh (ex-showroom) for the top-end DCT automatic N8 trim.

The i20 N Line now exclusively features the 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine, making a comeback after being discontinued earlier this year in the standard i20.

The new Hyundai i20 N Line is powered by the familiar 1.0-litre Kappa Turbo GDi petrol engine, tuned to deliver 118 bhp and 172 Nm of peak torque. This engine comes with a choice of either a new 6-speed manual transmission or a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT), available in both N6 and N8 trims.

The i20 N Line boasts updates to its grille and headlamps, inspired by the recently refreshed standard i20 hatchback. Unique LED headlamps with a distinct LED DRL pattern catch the eye. While the bumpers have seen revisions, changes at the rear are subtle.

Inside, the cabin sports black interiors with red accents for a sporty vibe. It’s equipped with a 7-speaker Bose sound system, an infotainment system, new leather upholstery featuring the N logo, red ambient lighting, a perforated leather-wrapped gear shifter, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel adorned with the N logo.

Tarun Garg, Chief Operating Officer of Hyundai Motor India Ltd., highlighted the i20’s legacy in the premium hatchback segment during the launch. He described the i20 N Line as sporty and visually striking, drawing design inspiration from WRC. Safety is paramount, with standard features including six airbags, ESC, Hill Start Assist Control, Vehicle Stability Management, and seat belt reminders for all occupants.

The 2023 Hyundai i20 N Line offers 35 standard safety features, including disc brakes for all four wheels and automatic headlamps. Additionally, it provides 40 additional safety features, such as a burglar alarm, Emergency Stop Signal, rear parking camera, and headlamp escort function.

The i20 N Line facelift is available in various colour options, including the new Abyss Black. It offers over 60 connected features, multi-language UI support, 127 embedded voice recognition commands, 52 Hinglish voice commands, and OTA update compatibility. Hyundai offers a standard 3-year/100,000 km warranty with an optional extended warranty.

This updated i20 N Line caters to the preferences of young Indian buyers who seek a blend of style and safety in their vehicles.
