The new Urus SE from Lamborghini is available in India for a starting price of Rs. 4.57 crore, ex-showroom. The Urus SE receives updated technology and features, a redesigned exterior and interior, and a new powerplant under the hood.
Lamborghini Urus SE powertrain, specs
The well-known 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine, which can now generate 800Nm and 620hp on its own, powers the Urus SE. In order to be used with the plug-in hybrid system, which makes use of a 25.9kWh lithium-ion battery pack, the engine has undergone extensive reengineering. Similar to the Revuelto, the electric motor is placed within an 8-speed torque converter automatic gearbox, with a total system output of 800 horsepower and 950 Nm.
The Urus SE can travel 60 kilometers on electricity alone and reach up to 130 kph in EV mode before the combustion engine automatically engages. The Urus SE has four-wheel drive even when it is running on electricity, and Lamborghini claims a 3.4-second 0-to-60-mph sprint time and a top speed of 312 mph.Â
Lamborghini Urus SE drive modes, suspension
The Urus SE has four extra modes: EV Drive, Hybrid, Recharge, and Performance, in addition to the well-known Strada, Sport, and Corsa modes for use on the road and track, and the Neve, Sabbia, and Terra modes for off-road use. According to Lamborghini, the new Recharge mode—which is available in the Strada, Sport, Corsa, and Neve modes—allows up to 80% of the battery to be recharged while maintaining peak performance. The Performance mode is accessible for both on- and off-road situations.
To regulate pitch, yaw, and lean, the Urus SE features 48V anti-roll bars, an electronic limited-slip rear differential, updated electronics, and air suspension.
Lamborghini Urus SE exterior, interior, features
The new bonnet reaches the edge of the nose, and the lack of a cut-off line creates a sense of continuity even though the overall design seems familiar. The headlamps of the Urus SE are more streamlined and equipped with LED matrix technology; this LED signature differs from the iconic Y-motif. The bumper and an angular, larger-looking grille assembly are the other notable front-end modifications.
The back also has some altered design. Both the spoiler and the tailgate, which connect the Y-shaped LED taillights with a contrasting trim, are new. The diffuser is now bigger and more noticeable, and the registration plate is now situated in the bumper. The new wheels come with Pirelli P Zero tires and are available in 21-, 22-, or 23-inch diameters.
Inside, there are new seats, significantly redesigned AC vents, and dashboard panels that appear more three-dimensional. The larger upgrade, though, is a new central touchscreen measuring 12.3 inches instead of 10.1 inches, which runs the most recent software and UI found on the Revuelto. As usual, there are a ton of personalization options available, such as the Ad Personam program, which provides even more personalization options, and over 100 exterior color variations in addition to 47 inside finishes.
