In India, the BMW 220i M Sport Shadow Edition is available for purchase for Rs 46.90 lakh (ex-showroom). The Shadow Edition receives some design upgrades, including blacked-out components, in contrast to the normal 2 Series sedan. While there have been minor design adjustments made to the interior, the powertrain remains the same as that of the standard 220i M Sport.
Shadow Edition BMW 220i M Sport: What’s new?
The 220i M Sport receives several blacked-out features similar to those of the majority of other BMW Shadow Edition cars, which help to distinguish it from the others. As a result, both the rear spoiler and the kidney grille are entirely blackened. Other features include BMW floating hubcaps and adaptive LED headlights with darkened inlays. All other design components are unchanged other than this.
Shadow Edition BMW 220i M Sport: Features and Interiors
The Shadow Edition’s interior has special illuminated Berlin inside trim, ambient lighting, a carbon-finished gear selector, and Sport Seats with memory function. There are six dimmable shades available for the ambient lighting configuration. Additionally, the vehicle has a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. Additionally, it has six pre-programmed hand gestures for controlling the infotainment system, wireless charging, and BMW’s virtual assistant.
Shadow Edition BMW 220i M Sport: Engine and Cost
The 2.0-liter turbo-petrol engine, which produces 179 horsepower and 280 Nm, is the only engine available for the 2 Series Shadow Edition. A 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission transfers the engine’s power to the front wheels, enabling the car to reach 100 mph in just 7.1 seconds. The 2 Series Shadow Edition costs Rs 1 lakh more than the 220i M Sport Pro and Rs 3 lakh more than the 220i M Sport variation on which it is based. The cost of the 220d M Sport is Rs 46.90 lakh.
