The Tiger 850 Sport has been replaced in the lineup by the new Tiger Sport 800, which Triumph has unveiled. The Tiger Sport 800 is more powerful than the upgraded Tiger 900 GT thanks to a new 798cc, 3-cylinder engine that produces 115 horsepower and 84 Nm of torque.
Tiger Sport 800: Design
This new 800 is an even more road-focused version of Triumph’s middleweight Tiger Sport model. Unlike the 850 Sport, which has wheels that are 19/17 inches, this bike has 17-inch wheels on both ends. These are equipped with sticky Michelin Road 5 sport-touring tires in the front (size 120/70-ZR17) and rear (size 180/55-ZR17). The smaller Tiger Sport 660 resembles this design and tire size.
The Tiger Sport 800’s perimeter frame is suspended by a 41mm USD fork and mono-shock, all provided by Showa. The mono-shock can be tuned for preload and rebound, and the fork may be changed for both. For the latter, a handy remote adjuster is supplied.

Radially mounted, 4-piston calipers bearing the Triumph logo are connected to 310mm discs up front, and a single-piston caliper is mated to a 255mm disc down back. The Tiger Sport 800 weighs 214 kg with its huge 18.6-litre tank fully brimmed, which should give it a respectable range.
Tiger Sport 800: Technology and Features
In addition to cruise control, a bidirectional quick-shifter, traction control, and dual-channel ABS, there are three riding modes: Sport, Road, and Rain. A six-axis IMU benefits the riding aids by allowing for more accurate and forgiving intervention. Like the Daytona 660 and Tiger Sport 660, the Tiger Sport 800’s LCD controls all these features.
Accessories such as color-matched panniers and a center stand can be purchased directly from Triumph’s accessory catalog. The Tiger Sport 800 comes in four colours: yellow, blue, black, and grey. It will be sold abroad starting in March 2025. It is anticipated that India will launch sometime in 2026 or next year.
