The new BMW 1 Series is about to enter its fourth generation with a more dynamic look, improved drive technology, and advanced amenities. The new vehicle, which is set to go on sale in October 2024, will be manufactured at the BMW Group factory in Leipzig, with Germany and Japan serving as major markets.
Exterior
The new BMW 1 Series features a dynamic design with characteristic BMW proportions, such as a long bonnet, a set-back passenger cell, and a muscular rear end. The car’s length has expanded slightly to 4,361 millimeters, and it now sports a distinctively flat front end, an innovative grille with vertical and diagonal bars, and standard LED headlights. A wedge shape and a long roof spoiler adds an aggressive side to the appearance, while vertical reflectors and a black diffuser-style insert highlight the rear. The car is offered in a variety of paint colors, with an optional contrasting black roof.
Interior
The interior of the BMW 1 Series has a modern, premium feel and is leather-free as standard. The revised seats, composed of recycled polyester, provide comfort for long journeys, with sport seats and M sport seats available as options. The rear seats can be folded to increase the storage capacity from 380 to 1,200 liters. The cockpit is made from high-quality materials, with a new gear selector and a fully digital BMW Curved Display that includes a 10.25-inch Information Display and a 10.7-inch Control Display. Performance
The new BMW 1 Series comes with the latest engines and a 7-speed Steptronic transmission with dual clutch as standard. The model lineup includes the high-performance BMW M135 xDrive, which accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.9 seconds. Improved body rigidity and innovative chassis technology enhance driving performance. The standard 17-inch light-alloy wheels are offered, as is the optional M Sport Package with an Adaptive M Chassis.
