Tata Motors introduced the Curvv ICE with introductory ex-showroom pricing ranging from Rs 10 lakh to Rs 17.7 lakh. Tata claims that although the Curvv’s body shape makes it a niche product, its price, range of available powertrains, and number of variants will guarantee that it outperforms all rivals in the midsize SUV market.
Tata Curvv: Prices & Variants
Eight variations of the Curvv are available for selection: Smart, Pure+, Pure+ S, Creative, Creative S, Creative+ S, Accomplished S, and Accomplished + A. Starting at Rs 10 lakh for petrol and Rs 11.5 lakh for diesel, these are the entry-level variation prices. The 125 HP turbo-petrol engine variant comes with a dual-clutch auto, which starts at Rs 16.4 lakh and goes up to Rs 19 lakh.
Entry-level diesel-DCT models start at Rs 14 lakh, while petrol-DCT versions start at Rs 12.5 lakh. Prices for the dual-clutch automatic and 125 horsepower turbo-petrol engine range from Rs 16.4 lakh to Rs 19 lakh. Reservations made before October 31st 2024 will get better advantages in terms of pricing.
Tata Curvv: Powertrains
Three engine options are available for the Curvv, which is based on the new ATLAS platform:
- 1.2-liter three-cylinder turbo-petrol mill with 120 horsepower and 170 Nm.
- A 1.5-liter diesel engine with 118 horsepower.
- Tata’s new 1.2-liter direct-injection turbo-petrol “Hyperion” engine, generates 125 horsepower and 225 Nm.
.A 6-speed manual gearbox is standard on all three engines, while a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox is also available. It is now India’s only diesel mass-market vehicle with a dual-clutch gearbox.

Tata Curvv: Features, Safety
Except for a few minor adjustments like a dual-tone burgundy and black theme, the Curvv’s cabin is identical to that of the Nexon and Nexon EV. The four-spoke steering is borrowed from the Harrier and Safari, but the center console and dashboard design are the same.
It boasts a fully digital driver’s display, a panoramic sunroof, heated front seats, 18-inch alloy wheels, flush door handles, a motorized tailgate with gesture control that is a segment first, and a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Six airbags, Level 2 A
DAS, ESC, all-wheel disc brakes, TPMS, a 360-degree camera, an electronic parking brake with auto-hold, and other safety features are included in the Curvv’s safety suite.
The Curvv competes with the recently released Citroen Basalt coupe-SUV and offers a substitute for mid-size SUVs such as Volkswagen Tiguan, Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara, Toyota Hyryder, Honda Elevate, MG Astor, and Skoda Kushaq.
