Skoda has released the Monte Carlo specification for its Slavia sedan, with starting costs of Rs 15.79 lakh. The Monte Carlo variant was originally available for the Czech brand’s Rapid car and Kushaq midsize SUV. Additionally, Skoda has added the Sportline trim to the Slavia lineup. The company has revealed that, although this deal is only good until September 6, the first 5,000 reservations made for the Monte Carlo and Sportline would receive bonuses of Rs 30,000.

Skoda Slavia Monte Carlo: Prices & Differences

Monte Carlo versions are predicated on the corresponding top-spec trim of the car, as is customary. It’s the Prestige for the Slavia. Thus, the Monte Carlo Slavia comes equipped with every Prestige option, including an 8-inch completely digital instrument cluster, motorized sunroof, ORVMs, and a 380W subwoofer for the 8-speaker music system. The black accents on the door handles, grille, emblems, side skirts, rear spoiler, and bumpers distinguish the Monte Carlo versions. Next, there are a set of 16-inch black alloy wheels. The Slavia Monte Carlo is available from Skoda in Candy White and Tornado Red exterior treatments. The Slavia Monte Carlo’s interior has a red and black motif extending to the instrument cluster.  These models even feature pedals made of  aluminum.

The 1.0-liter turbo-petrol version with 115 horsepower and six-speed manual and torque converter auto options, as well as the 1.5-liter turbo-petrol version with 150 horsepower and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox, are the two powertrain options available for the Monte Carlo variants, which are priced approximately Rs 20,000 less than the Prestige ones (Rs 15.99 lakh–18.69 lakh). 

Based on the mid-spec Signature variant, the Skoda Slavia Sportline has the same black finish as the Monte Carlo, which extends to the 16-inch black alloy wheels. In contrast to the Signature, the Sportline’s interior includes a motorized sunroof, new grey fabric upholstery, and aluminum pedals, among other convenient amenities. The Slavia Sportline, which comes with all three powertrain options, costs roughly Rs 20,000 more.

Skoda Slavia Rivals

The Honda City* (Rs 11.82 lakh-16.35 lakh), which has a segment-exclusive hybrid variant available for Rs 20.55 lakh, the Hyundai Verna (Rs 11 lakh-17.42 lakh), the Maruti Ciaz (Rs 9.4 lakh-12.3 lakh), and the Volkswagen Virtus (Rs 11.56 lakh-19.41 lakh) are the rivals of the Skoda Slavia.
