Nissan has launched the Nissan X-Trail SUV in India for Rs 49.92 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The three-row SUV is arriving as a full import. Nissan includes a three-year/one lakh km warranty with the X-Trail and three years of free roadside support.
Nissan X-Trail: Powertrain
The Nissan X-Trail is powered by a 1.5-litre three-cylinder turbo-petrol engine with a 12V mild-hybrid system, which generates 163hp and 300Nm. The engine is mated to a shift-by-wire CVT automatic transmission that is claimed to have a low rubber band effect. It includes Nissan’s unique variable compression technology, which adjusts the compression ratio to optimize either performance or fuel efficiency according to the situation.
Nissan X-Trail: Features and safety
The X-Trail is available with a dual-pane panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 12.3-inch digital driver’s display, a wireless smartphone charger, keyless entry and go, drive modes, an electronic parking brake with auto-hold function, and cruise control. The X-Trail comes with a 7-seater layout as standard. The second row features 40/20/40 split-folding, sliding, and reclining choices, while the third row has 50/50 split-folding and reclining choices.
The safety features include seven airbags, automatic wipers, ABS with EBD traction control, limited-slip differential, hill-start assist, and front parking sensors.
Nissan X-Trail: Competitors
The X-Trail will compete against premium 7-seater SUVs like the Toyota Fortuner, Skoda Kodiaq, Jeep Meridian, and MG Gloster.
