Rolls-Royce unveiled the Spectre Black Badge, their most potent and striking electric vehicle. At ₹9.5 crores before customization (about USD 1.14 million), this premier electric coupe outperforms the already rare standard Spectre in terms of performance, styling, and black finishes. Rolls-Royce dealerships in Chennai and New Delhi are accepting reservations.
Rolls-Royce Spectre Black Badge: Design
Although the Spectre Black Badge provides a more sinister and performance-oriented design, it builds on the graceful proportions of the original Spectre. It has a new Vapour Violet paint option and sits on 23-inch alloy wheels. It sports blacked-out components throughout the grille, door handles, badges, and even the Spirit of Ecstasy on the hood, much as every Black Badge model does.
Customization is a hallmark of Rolls-Royce’s design philosophy. There are an excellent 44,000 exterior colour choices for the Spectre Black Badge. Should that be insufficient, clients can pay extra to have an original hue created by the Bespoke line. Striking colours such as Tailored Purple, Charles Blue, Chartreuse, and Forge Yellow can be specced in optional illuminated elements, including the front grille and door sills.
Rolls-Royce Spectre Black Badge: Interior and Features
Inside the Spectre Black Badge, you find yourself in a cabin reminiscent of a sci-fi film set mixed with a luxury lounge. Made of more than 5,500 brilliant stars arranged into the black piano dashboard, the illuminated fascia stands out as creating a celestial mood.
Five vivid colour themes -ivid Grellow, Neon Nights, Cyan Fire, Ultraviolet, and Synth Wave- allow the driver to customize the interface and create anything but standard. The rest of the interior accentuates the high-performance vibe by including metallic finishes mixed with carbon fibre. Every element has been designed to provide a tactile and visual experience unlike any other electric vehicle running on the road.
Powertrain: Electric, but With Serious Muscle
Under the hood, or more precisely under the floor, the Spectre Black Badge uses a dual-motor arrangement generating 659 hp and 1,075Nm of torque. Over the normal Spectre, this represents a healthy leap of 74hp and 175 Nm. Consequently, the fastest Rolls-Royce to date has a 0 to 100 km/h time of under 4.1 seconds.
With the same 102kWh battery as the standard model, the car has a WLTP-rated range of up to 530 km, even with the additional performance. To manage more power while maintaining riding comfort Rolls-Royce is famed for, the British marque has also adjusted the chassis, steering, and roll stability systems.
Pricing: The Most Expensive Rolls-Royce EV Yet
The Spectre Black Badge comes at a premium of ₹1.88 crore (around 225,000 USD) over the standard Spectre, which is priced at ₹7.62 crore (about 915,000 USD). These prices are ex-showroom, and optional personalization or bespoke configurations can make the final cost significantly higher.
