Toyota has made the next Camry’s teaser photos public. The 9th generation Toyota Camry is believed to be planned to make its debut in India on December 11.
Toyota Camry: Exterior
The Camry of the latest generation continues to follow the tried-and-true formula of its predecessors. The outer design is entirely new yet still uses the previous model’s modular TNGA-K platform. Many Toyota and Lexus vehicles and SUVs across the world use this platform.
The new vehicle is a design advancement over the one now available. It shares the present one’s wheelbase but is slightly longer. The new Camry’s face has many Lexus-like features, particularly the chin, which has the characteristic anvil form. Modern illumination also makes the headlight pods small, and LED Daytime Running Lights give them a lot of much-needed personalities. On the side, Toyota has added more defining lines, and the big rear taillights have been swapped out for “C”-shaped ones.
Toyota Camry: Interior
The new Camry’s interior undergoes a significant makeover, featuring a brand-new dashboard design with two digital screens. A floating 12.3-inch touchscreen setup handles infotainment functions, while a 7-inch screen relays the instrumentation. A digital key, a heads-up display, a JBL sound system, and other tech-related features are also anticipated.

Like the previous model, the new Camry will target chauffeur-driven consumers, particularly in markets like India. Blind control and other controls are positioned between the seats, and the back seat has ventilation and a reclining feature. The Toyota Safety Sense package, which includes ADAS features like lane departure alert with steering assistance, dynamic radar cruise control with curve speed reduction, and a pre-collision braking system, will also be included.
Toyota Camry: Powertrain
A 2.5-liter, four-cylinder engine and two electric motors with 227 horsepower will power the new Camry. The Camry’s hybrid drivetrain shifts through an eCVT gearbox like many previous Toyota hybrids. The last model’s economy of 19.1 kmpl is projected to be surpassed by the new Camry’s stated efficiency of about 25 kmpl.
The new Camry has already been launched in other markets, and we expect the Indian version to come with similar specifications.
