More aggressive bumpers, more comprehensive grille pieces, and 20-inch “Elias” alloy wheels with red brake calipers set the Kodiaq RS apart from the standard SUV. The roof rails, the upper portion of the window frames, the exterior mirror caps, and the radiator grille are likewise blacked out. The RS has a standard illuminated grille, which is a fantastic touch.

Its interior features thicker-bolstered seats and a larger 13-inch infotainment touchscreen as standard. Two trim levels are available for the vehicle’s interior: RS Suedia, which has suede microfiber and leatherette seats, and RS Suite, which has leather seats and a ventilation system. The interior features contrast red stitching and an all-black look overall.

The same 2.0-liter four-pot turbocharged engine known as the “EA888” that powers the top-of-the-line Volkswagen Tiguan R-Line is also used in the Kodiaq RS. The Kodiaq RS’s 265 horsepower and 400 Nm of torque power all four wheels and are transmitted to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. Compared to the standard Kodiaq, that is 60 horsepower and 80 Nm more.

According to Skoda, the seven-seat family SUV can reach a high speed of 231 kph and complete the 0-100 kph sprint in 6.3 seconds. Additionally, slotted brake discs and more potent two-pot calipers on the RS’s front axle increase stopping force. VW’s Dynamic Chassis Control Plus adaptive suspension technology is standard, with 15 driving settings and active damper adjustment.

Skoda plans to introduce the standard second-generation SUV to India by the middle of 2025, but there has yet to be an indication of when the Kodiaq RS will arrive. The first-generation petrol-powered vehicle, ex-showroom, is available in India for Rs 39.99 lakh.
