An 8.5kWh battery is used to power the BMW CE 04, with a claimed range of 130km. There are two charging choices available for it: a conventional 2.3kW and a quicker 6.9kW option. It is claimed that the 2.3kW charger will take 4 hours and 20 minutes to fully charge, and the 6.9kW charger will take 1 hour and 40 minutes.

A  liquid-cooled permanent magnet motor powers the CE-04 in India. This is rated for a maximum output of 62 Nm of torque and 31 kW (42 HP). The scooter has a single-sided swingarm and a belt final drive system that transfers power to the rear wheel. BMW claims that the CE 04 can accelerate from 0 to 50 miles per hour in just 2.6 seconds, with an electronically regulated top speed of 120 miles per hour.

All of this is housed in an offset monoshock and telescopic fork-hung steel double-loop frame. Two 265mm discs with a single piston axial caliper at the back and two 265mm discs at the front that are mated to J. Juan radially-mounted 4-piston calipers are responsible for the braking.

The 15-inch wheels of the CE 04 are some of the biggest in the scooter market in India. The front and rear tire sizes are 120/70-R15 and 160/60-R15, respectively, similar to those of a middleweight sportbike. With a curb weight of 231kg, the CE 04 is almost as heavy as the new R 1300 GS, even with its comparatively low seat height of 780mm.

The all-LED lighting, 10.25-inch TFT display with Bluetooth compatibility, keyless ignition, ABS, switchable traction control, three riding modes (Eco, Rain, and Road), main stand, and reverse mode are standard features of the CE-04. It also features a side-mounted storage compartment with a dedicated light and a ventilated storage compartment with a USB C charger for smartphones. It comes in white and blue colors.

Like other BMW models, the CE 04 may be customized with a wide choice of accessories, such as extra technological systems, a larger windscreen, and more.

In comparison to the CE 04, the Ultraviolette F77 Mach 2 Recon electric bike has a similar power output but more torque and range. However, it costs just Rs 3.99 lakh, which is reasonable. It’s uncertain how many Indian consumers will choose the unique CE 04 over more affordable alternatives.
