Grandeur Heritage Series concept
To mark its 35th anniversary, Hyundai Motor Company has introduced the Heritage Series Grandeur, a concept car reinterpretation of its 1986 flagship sedan as a modern electric vehicle. Inspired by the 1980s, this project offers a window into Hyundai’s vision for future mobility by fusing modern technologies with the iconic design aspects of the original Grandeur.
Grandeur Heritage Series concept: Design
Though it features modern upgrades including new side mirrors, covered wheels, side cladding, and pixel-style LED headlights and taillights, the Heritage Series Grandeur keeps the boxy shape of the original 1986 vehicle.
Grandeur Heritage Series concept: Interior
The interior combines burgundy velvet and auburn Napa leather upholstery, adopting a “Newtro” (newness + retro) concept. Bronze-colored ambient lighting improves the vintage ambiance, reminding one of 1980s audio equipment. While the single-spoke steering wheel and jet airplane-style gear selector honor the original model, an ultra-wide, touch-activated flat-screen display replaces conventional dashboard controls.

Concept
The Heritage Series Grandeur is a concept car designed to investigate the fusion of Hyundai’s historical design features with upcoming technologies. Mass production is not currently planned.
