Born in New Jersey on March 6, 1972, the baller spent his early years moving around military locations in Germany and Texas with his army sergeant stepfather. Following his entry into the NBA, he played for Louisiana State University, where he won Rookie of the Year in 1993. - Cadillac Eldorado Convertible (1963): Shaq has customized his Cadillac Eldorado with tiger fur seats. Driven by his love for Al Pacino and his movie Scarface, Shaq bought this car to cruise around his hometown of Orlando.
- Ferrari 355 F1 Spider (1998): Shaq made several customizations in this mid-engined Ferrari. Firstly, he replaced the soft top with a custom tonneau cover to make what he calls a ‘forever convertible.’ He also replaced the factory fuel tank with a special front-mounted tank to allow more legroom for the owner, setting the seats back nine inches.
- Customized Chevrolet Express G1500 (2001): A Chevrolet Express van would normally not appeal to any celebrity, but this one does, as Louis Vuitton crafted its quilted leather interiors.
- Customized Cadillac Escalade (2002): Another supercar in Shaq’s collection is the burgundy-colored Cadillac Escalade, which was customized to include 26-inch wheels and elongated scissor-style doors. - Bentley Azure, Arnage and Continental GT (2003): Just like most of the US sports stars, Shaq also owns several Bentleys. He bought all three of his Bentleys at the same time. “I was on the Los Angeles Lakers, and in Beverly Hills, there’s a Rolls-Royce dealership. I used to cycle by it all the time, but one day, I decided to walk in. While Mike Tyson was there, he purchased two Bentleys. I asked the salesman, “Sir, how much does this one cost?” while wearing shorts, a tank top and flip-flops. “Can you afford it, sonny boy?” he said. I immediately purchased three Bentleys because I was so furious. He wonders, looking back, if it was a mistake made solely to make a point. “In ten minutes, a million was gone!”
- Customized Mercedes S550 Convertible (2006): Shaq bought a 2006 white Mercedes S-Class. However, he had Lorinser, the Mercedes whisperer, remove the top, making it a very long convertible. For enhanced presence, Lorinser installed a strong body makeover with 22-inch rims and fitted suicide rear doors. During his championship-winning Miami Heat season, the “Hobo Master” placed this order, and this S550 is really hot.
