BMW introduced the BMW XM Label in India at Rs 3.15 crore (ex-showroom). The most potent vehicle made by BMW’s M division is the XM Label. In addition to the technical improvements, the XM Label SUV has red accents inside and out compared to the ordinary model.
BMW XM Label: What’s New?
Originally unveiled in April last year as the XM Label Red, India’s name has changed to XM Label. The 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 hybrid engine that powers the standard car also powers the XM Label. But the engine is tweaked to deliver a maximum torque of 1,000 Nm and 748 horsepower. These numbers are 200 Nm and 95 horsepower, more than the standard XM. But even though the XM Label has the same 25.7kWh battery pack, it claims a range of 76-82 km as opposed to the ordinary XM’s 82-89 km electric-only range.
According to BMW, the XM Label can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in just 3.8 seconds and reach a top speed of 250 kmph electronically restricted. If you choose for the M Driver’s Package, the top speed increases to 290 kmph. Power is sent to all four wheels via the M xDrive all-wheel drive system, linked to an 8-speed automatic transmission.
The outside of the XM Label has been detailed with distinctive red accents, including the wheel inserts, kidney grille surround, rear diffuser insert, model emblems, window frame surround, and shoulder line. BMW Individual Frozen Carbon Black metallic is the vehicle’s finish, and 22-inch M light alloy wheels are included. Inside, the XM Label features all-black upholstery with dual-tone black and red seats and occasional red stitching and inlays.

There will only be 500 XM units made worldwide, of which just one will be shipped to India. The XM Label is distinguished from other labels by a plaque that reads “1 of 500” beneath the control display.
The most recent version of BMW’s Curved Display, which has a 14.9-inch touchscreen and a 12.3-inch digital driver’s display, is one of the features available. Other features include a head-up display, a dedicated Boost mode, a 1,475-watt amplifier and 20 speakers in the Bowers & Wilkins Diamond surround sound system, six airbags, Active Roll Stabilization, Dynamic Brake Control, and much more. BMW’s Adaptive M Suspension Professional is also included. The XM Label comes for Rs 55 lakh over the ordinary XM (Rs 2.60 crore)
