2025 Skoda Kodiaq: Design
The all-new Kodiaq retains its stance but offers a fresh, rounded, yet refined design compared to its predecessor. The split headlamp layout has been updated with modern LED DRLs extending into the grille. The front bumper gets functional air vents, while the bonnet shows subtle power bulges. At the rear, new C-shaped tail lamps connected by an LED light bar give the new Kodiaq a fresh look. The wheelbase, unchanged at 2,791 mm, sees an extension in overall length by 59 mm. The Sportline variant adopts a more aggressive approach with black details and sportier alloys, whereas the L&K gets aero-optimized 18-inch alloys and chrome accents.
2025 Skoda Kodiaq: Interior and features
The whole interior of the Kodiaq is transformed. The cabin incorporates a new winged dashboard layout with a 13-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system and a digital driver’s display (10 inches) featuring integrated navigation. Physical dials for the HVAC controls have been retained for ease of use, while a two-spoke steering wheel gives it a more modern look, whereas the Sportline trim gets a sportier three-spoke version. Some interior highlights include a panoramic sunroof, configurable ambient lighting, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 13-speaker Canton audio system, and three-zone climate control. The L&K trim has ventilated power-adjustable front seats with massage and memory functions, whereas Sportline offers heated sports seats. Other conveniences include a gesture-controlled electric tailgate, 360-degree camera, and park assist.

Safety
Safety-wise, the new Kodiaq is quite well equipped with nine airbags, electronic stability control, front and rear parking sensors, electronic differential lock, multi-collision braking, driver attention, and drowsiness monitoring, and hill start assist with descent control.
Powertrain
The second-generation Kodiaq is powered by a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine producing 204 hp and 320 Nm of torque, an increase of 14 hp over the previous iteration. It is mated to a 7-speed DSG automatic transmission and is standard with all-wheel drive in both trims. Skoda claims a fuel efficiency of 14.86 km/l (ARAI-certified).
2025 Skoda Kodiaq: Competition
As a 7-seater premium SUV, the new Kodiaq competes directly with rivals such as Jeep Meridian and the upcoming Nissan X-Trail. However, considering its price, it will also be in the cross-shopping bracket with 5-seater SUVs like Volkswagen Tiguan R-Line, Hyundai Tucson, and Citroën C5 Aircross.
