The 2025 Ducati Panigale V4, which Ducati announced, is the most significant update to the superbike since it debuted in 2018. Almost every aspect of the motorcycle has been revised. The 2025 Panigale V4 will split the Ducatisti in two because it is the first flagship Ducati superbike since the legendary 916 to not have a single-sided swingarm.
Ducati Panigale V4: What’s New
Let’s start with the 1,103cc Desmosedici Stradale V4 engine, which powers the motorcycle. Now that this beast has been approved to meet Euro5+ emission requirements, the Bolognese Bullet is here to stay, in contrast to certain other Japanese superbikes that are being phased out. The unit now produces 216 horsepower at 13,500 rpm, a little increase in peak output despite a 500 rpm increase. Peak torque of 120.9 Nm at 11,250 rpm is 1,750 rpm higher in the rev range but is 2.7 Nm less than previously.
Although the back end is brand-new, the front frame that is fastened to this motor is from an earlier model. The traditional double-sided swingarm has finally been added to Ducati’s flagship superbike. The 2025 Panigale V4 reportedly weighs 2.7 kg less than the model it replaced in terms of the swingarm-rear wheel combination. Track riding, when you’re pushing near the limit, is made simpler with a bike that, according to Ducati, has 37 percent less lateral stiffness than before.
The Ohlins Smart EC 3.0 electronic suspension units are the newest and best suspension system to come out of Sweden. Ducati claims that the monoshock’s design, which is based on that of its Desmosedici GP MotoGP racer, helps to reduce weight by 600g. The tires are also fresh. Today, the Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa V4 compound powers the Panigale V4. The sizes at 200/60-ZR17 and 120/70-ZR17 remain the same.
Another significant change has been in electronic rider aids. A 6.9-inch TFT display is now used to control every parameter on the Panigale V4. A brand-new system named Race eCBS has been added to the bike’s electronics arsenal. In essence, this technology applies the rear brake without requiring the rider to physically pull on the rear brake lever by tracking the bike’s lean angle, throttle position, and rear load.
Then there are the standard array of highly customizable electronic rider aids, including power modes, traction control, wheelie control, ABS, bidirectional quickshifter, and riding modes.
In addition, Ducati has completely redesigned its aerodynamics department. Now, when fully tucked, the entire fairing has a new shape that offers the rider better wind protection. The same downforce is still produced by the forward-positioned winglets. OH! Don’t forget to read our article on Yamaha R7.
The 2025 Ducati Panigale V4 has a very different look from its predecessor, featuring a custom swingarm, revised LED headlamps, and a new fairing design. Two U-shaped LED strips are now present in the new taillight.
The base model of the Ducati Panigale V4 series costs Rs 27.72 lakh, while the up-spec S variant costs Rs 33.48 lakh. Although the most recent version’s international costs aren’t available yet, it’s safe to assume that they will increase.
