Xiaomi SU7 Ultra

Xiaomi has officially launched the SU7 Ultra electric sedan in China, with a starting price of 499,900 yuan ($69,830). Deliveries will begin in April 2024, with a target of 100,000 units in the first year. With 1,306 hp and a 0-100 km/h time of 1.98 seconds, this powerful EV is ready to take over the roads.

Xiaomi SU7 Ultra: Performance

The Xiaomi SU7 Ultra is driven by a three-motor configuration, producing an incredible 1,306 hp and 1,600 Nm of torque. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 1.98 seconds and has a top speed of over 305 km/h. A 101 kWh CATL Qilin battery provides it with an 800 km range (CLTC) and can be charged from 10 to 80% in 15 minutes.

Braking power is provided by carbon-ceramic discs (430 mm front, 410 mm rear), enabling the car to brake from 100 km/h in 33.3 meters. Xiaomi says the SU7 Ultra can slow down from 200 km/h ten times consecutively without any decrease in braking effectiveness. The adaptive air suspension system varies with stiffness and ground clearance, and an active rear spoiler and diffuser create 280 kg of downforce at high speeds.

Xiaomi SU7 Ultra: Exterior & Design

The SU7 Ultra has a wider body, sporty aerodynamics, and a 24-carat gold emblem on the front. It also has more significant spoilers, massive 21-inch Pirelli P Zero Corsa tires, and exclusive color choices such as Black, White, Yellow, Silver, and Green.

Carbon fibre is widely utilized to decrease weight. The exterior components cover 5.5 square meters of the car. The rear spoiler is 1,560 mm wide and 220 mm long, contributing to the car’s performance-oriented design.

Interior & Technology

The front seats have a 10-point massage feature, and a gigantic Mini LED screen and augmented reality head-up display take centre stage on the dashboard.

Xiaomi HAD auto-parking system, available from March 2024, relies on three LiDARs, 11 cameras, and five radars. The vehicle also has enhanced driver assistance, voice recognition, and Navigation On Autopilot (NOA).

Audiophiles have it good in the SU7 Ultra, with 25 speakers, including standalone ones for the driver’s seat. Dual wireless phone chargers of 50W each, a 105-litre front boot, and double-layer UV-cut glass are also part of the luxury experience.
